Indrani Singh Cassime, Iconic Pedestal II – SOLD

PRICE UPON REQUEST

The Artist dissolves the hierarchy between the artwork and its support. Conceived originally as the foundational counterpoint to the Moon Jar series, this high-fired stoneware column asserts its own monolithic presence, blurring the boundary between functional infrastructure and autonomous sculpture.

The work’s slender, vertical architecture acts as a grounding force—a tether for the celestial volume of the vessel it is designed to hold. Yet, when viewed in isolation, the pedestal reveals a structural authority. Its surface carries the same rigorous ceramic intelligence as the jars, transforming the act of display into a symbiotic dialogue between the pillar and the sphere.
